Minnesota Flexible acquires General Rubber

Minnesota Flexible Corporation announced its acquisition of General Rubber Company of New Berlin, Wis.

General Rubber is a distributor of hoses and accessories for hydraulic, air, water, welding, refrigeration, and other equipment.

In addition to GRC’s New Berlin headquarters, fabrication shop and warehouse, the sale includes an office, fabrication shop and warehouse in Appleton, Wis., that serves Green Bay and the Fox River Valley. Prior to moving to its expanded location in New Berlin four years ago, General Rubber Company had been located in the same Milwaukee downtown location for 50 years.

“We have been looking for an avenue to penetrate the eastern Wisconsin market for several years. We feel our product offerings will be an excellent fit for that marketplace,” said MFC president Will Stewart.

“We are committed to working with our customers on designing the right products for their applications, producing products that meet their quality expectations, and servicing them throughout the process,” Stewart said.

St. Paul-based Minnesota Flexible Corp. is a fabricator of industrial hose, fittings, and formed tube assemblies, with offices in Grand Rapids, Minn.; Galesburg, Ill.; and Peoria, Ill.
