WinWholesale acquires Wyatt Irrigation Supply

WinWholesale Inc. has acquired an irrigation supply company in Northern California and opened two fire sprinkler supply locations in the East to extend its reach in those industries.

The company acquired Wyatt Irrigation Supply Inc. in Santa Rosa, Calif,, a wholesaler with other locations in Napa, Petaluma and Ukiah that provides irrigation services and supplies to the wine industry in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys as well as Lake and Mendocino Counties. The 31-year old company also provides hydroponics, lawn and garden, plumbing and fire protection supplies.

Scott Leytem, who has been with Wyatt 17 years, was named president of Wyatt Irrigation Co. as it is now called. He succeeds the company’s founder, Phillip Wyatt, who will step down from the company after an agreed upon transition period.

WinWholesale also opened two Winsupply locations that serve fire sprinkler contractors. Pittsburgh Winsupply provides fire sprinkler supplies and fabricated systems to contractors in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. Chuck Rocco, who has been in the industry 30 years, leads the company as president.

Further east, New York City Winsupply in Garden City Park on Long Island serves contractors in New York City’s five boroughs and the Island with fire sprinkler supplies. Willy Schweizer, president, says his company also works with Newburgh Windustrial 60 miles north of New York City to provide fabricated sprinkler systems to area contractors.

“WinWholesale has had locations providing fire sprinkler products and services for quite some time, but we had the opportunity this year to open four more. Adding them as well Wyatt Irrigation Company to our other irrigation locations continues to diversify our company’s broad industry portfolio,” said Monte Salsman, chief operating officer.

The other new fire sprinkler locations opened in 2013 are West Coast Winsupply in Tampa, Fla., and Atlanta Winsupply.
