Samsung Electronics takes biggest stake in South Korean robotics maker
IndexBox reports Samsung Electronics has emerged as the largest shareholder in Rainbow Robotics, according to a recent regulatory filing.
Paying $181 million to secure its stake in the South Korean robotics firm, according to Reuters, Samsung's strategic move underscores its commitment to the robotics sector.
"The acquisition aligns with Samsung's broader strategy to enhance its capabilities in automation and advanced robotics," said IndexBox. The company has also reportedly announced the creation of a Future Robotics Office, which will operate under the direct supervision of its CEO, further emphasizing the importance of robotics in its future business endeavors.
