Haber to retire from NetPlus
NetPlus Alliance announced the retirement of Paul Haber, vice president of distributor relations.
Haber has been with NetPlus since it was founded in 2002 and served as the primary liaison with the company's 416 industrial distributor members. Haber also authored the group’s popular newsletter column, “Paul’s Picks,” a monthly review of supplier product lines, along with a fishing or hunting tip garnered from his lifelong passion for everything outdoors.
Haber started his career in the industrial distribution business in 1960, at Ward Brothers Mill Supply in Lockport, N.Y. He started in the warehouse, and learned the business from the ground up, quickly mastering the “art of the relationship.” At the onset of NetPlus Alliance in 2002, Haber was instrumental in recruiting both distributors and suppliers, utilizing his relationship skills and his network of friends in the industry to help build the business. Haber traveled extensively throughout his years at NetPlus Alliance, visiting hundreds of NetPlus distributors. His experience as a distributor gave him a unique ability to connect with business owners, and over the years, he became an informal consultant to many of the group’s members.
“Paul has been a business colleague, friend and mentor since the late 1960s, said Dan Judge, president and owner of NetPlus Alliance. “I have learned a lot about the industrial distribution business working with Paul. Paul has had a great career in this industry and I wish him good health, great times with his family and lots of fishing and hunting for many years to come.”
Haber hopes to spend more time with his wife, Sandra, three children and four grandchildren.
