ContiFlex Vulkan conveyor belting

Continental has introduced a newly developed modular system to control hot materials for ContiFlex Vulkan, a line of Heritage conveyor belting for heat applications.

ContiFlex VulkanContiFlex Vulkan is a textile line of conveyor belting designed to convey materials with temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees (F). It is applicable to the cement industry, steel manufacturing, iron works, refineries, chemicals and fertilizer production. The newly developed modular system offers a wide range of construction options, including an exclusive heat control isolation layer as well as either glass fiber (GF) or basalt fiber (BF) layers for burn through protection.

“This is one of our toughest textile conveyor belts for extreme heat,” said Lee Brammer, head of sales, ContiTech Heritage NAFTA. “This line also can be customized to meet specific requirements, especially when it comes to conveying some of the hottest and harshest materials.”

ContiFlex Vulkan is available in a modular system where the customer can select the best ContiTech Heritage technology for the application. The belts are available in widths up to 126 inches with a broad portfolio of belt constructions. Tensile strengths range from 220piw to 2,000piw and cover thickness can be selected to match given applications.
