Fastenal's January sales fall by 3.2 percent
Fastenal reported sales of $447.9 million in January, a 3.2 percent decline from $462.8 million in January of 2020.
With 20 business days in January of this year compared to 22 last year, daily sales of $22.4 million increased by 6.5 percent from $21.0 million last year.
Sales to manufacturing customers grew by 4.8 percent, while sales to non-residential construction customers fell by 8.9 percent.
Sales of safety related product continued at a higher pace than normal, as safety product sales grew by 26.1 percent in January, compared to growth of 11.2 percent growth in January 2020.
