Fastenal sales rise 17.4 percent in January
Fastenal said its January sales of $394.4 million increased by 17.4 percent from $336.0 million in January of 2017.
Daily sales of $17.9 million were up 12 percent from daily sales of $16.0 million last January. Daily sales to manufacturing customers rose by 13.3 percent, while sales to non-residential construction customers increased by 7.9 percent. There were 22 business days in January 2018 compared to 21 in January 2017.
Total employee headcount of 20,814 at the end of the month compared to 19,637 in January 2017, an increase of 6 percent.
