More than 300 attendees from 110 of IDCO’s 140 member and supplier companies gathered for the co-op's annual three-day event designed to drive member sales.

Kuriyama booth, IDCO ExpoHeld Feb. 11-13 in Houston, the networking event included scheduled meetings, training from suppliers with a focus on new products and applications in the industry, a table-top tradeshow with new product showcases, and an award banquet.

“The three days at the IDCO Expo are the most productive of the year in terms of strengthening customer relationships and finding new growth potential,” said Chris Ciulla, Tigerflex product manager at Kuriyama. “For us, the core of this event is the day and a half of one-on-one meetings, where you get to sit with decision makers with the singular focus of growing and strengthening your business together. This format yields tremendous results.”

“The one-on-one meetings with the suppliers worked out very well; it was the perfect amount of time to get to know each other and discuss potential opportunities,” said Anthony Casciato, vice president at Bartuk Hose & Hydraulics. “We now have new products to offer our customers and to boost our bottom line. The quality of the vendors made it that much better!”

Other highlights of the three-day event included an open tradeshow, roundtable discussions, a member forum featuring the IDCO Product Advisory Committee, and a supplier meeting introducing IDCO’s new online training platform - IDCO University - powered by BlueVolt, a learning solutions company.

The event concluded with an awards banquet recognizing the top members and suppliers of 2018. Rob Lyons, IDCO chairman and president of TIPCO Technologies, announced Midland Metal Mfg. as the 2018 IDCO Supplier of the Year and A-1 Industrial Hose Supply as the 2018 IDCO Member of the Year.

The 2020 IDCO Expo will be held from February 24-26 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Kentucky.
