IWDC sets record monthly spend

After setting a record for sales in 2021, the Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative sets an all-time monthly record in March with $35.4 million in members' spend.

“Our prior record was $27.9 million, we are thrilled to see our members continue to grow and flourish,” said Frank Kasnick, president & CEO. “Once again, this is evidence of the strength and resilience of the independents in our welding & gas industry and reflects great support from our vendor partners.”

Keith Werkley, vice president of Sales & Vendor Management, said the first three months of the year marked the best quarter in the history of the IWDC.

"With our annual Sales & Purchasing Convention May 24th-26th, we look forward to another strong quarter,” he said.

This year, the IWDC will support ReIGNITE Hope, a non-profit training program for the less fortunate. “We hope to raise enough money and product to help them touch many more lives this year,” said Vic Wilson, director of Marketing & Gas Programs.

Reignite Hope is a unique, non-profit training program that started on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles in 2011, teaching the skill of welding to men and women, many of whom have been homeless, gang members, and ex-offenders.
