PTDA to move Industry Summit to online format
The Power Transmission Distributors Association has cancelled its in-person Industry Summit scheduled for Oct. 21-24 in Atlanta.
According to an announcement posted on the association's website, the PTDA board had hoped to proceed with the event as COVID numbers showed signs of improvement earlier this summer. With the recent uptick in positive cases, however, the board decided to pull the plug on this year's in-person event.
"Even though a lot could change by October, we chose to make the tough decision now to cancel the in-person Industry Summit to ensure that we all stay healthy and safe," the announcement said.
The PTDA board and staff are looking at virtual networking opportunities for the same week.
"Thank you for your patience and your loyalty. Stay safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you virtually in October and in-person next year in San Francisco!" the announcement concluded.
