Home Depot sales increase 8.1 percent
The Home Depot reported sales of $41.1 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2021, an increase of 8.1 percent from $38.0 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2020.
It's the first time that quarterly sales exceeded $40 billion in the company's history.
Comparable sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2021 increased 4.5 percent, and comparable sales in the U.S. increased 3.4 percent.
Net earnings for the quarter were $4.8 billion, or $4.53 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $4.3 billion, or $4.02 per diluted share, in the same period of fiscal 2020.
