Fastenal reports 2.2 percent August sales decline
Fastenal's sales of $465.2 million in August declined 2.2 percent from $475.6 million in August 2019.
Daily sales of $22.2 million compared to $21.6 million in the same period last year, an increase of 2.5 percent. There were 21 business days in August 2020 compared to 22 in August 2019.
Sales to manufacturing customers declined by 5 percent, while sales to non-residential construction customers fell by 13.5 percent.
