Sonepar pulls out all the chocks for Truck Driver Appreciation Week
From special breakfasts and lunches to recognition awards and gift packages, Sonepar is celebrating drivers across their operating companies in the U.S.
“We’re so appreciative of all our drivers who go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service to our customers,” said Ray Brown, vice president of transportation for Sonepar USA. “With $12B in sales, our drivers are covering a lot of ground and getting an incredible number of products to job sites when and where they are needed.”
The week began with a special message from Ron Harper, senior vice president of supply chain and logistics, and continued with shout outs to some of the highly regarded staff who clearly love what they do. “Drivers are also often featured in company videos,” says Brown. “We have a great group of men and women who we like to hear from.”
“We’re proud of the great partnerships we’ve built with the top leasing companies to ensure our vehicles are best-in-class in terms of performance and safety,” added Brown. “We strive to provide drivers with a great work-life balance. We’re constantly looking for ways to optimize their day and adhere to the highest standards of safe driving protocol.”
To add to the week, Sonepar’s Viking Electric received special news that driver James Smith is a semi-finalist for the 2023 Transition Trucking Driving for Excellence award recognized by Kenworth, FASTPORT, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes initiative. The award highlights exceptional military veterans who enter the trucking industry.
