RBC Bearings sales rise 5.2 percent
RBC Bearings posted net sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2019 of $172.9 million, an increase of 5.2 percent from $164.3 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2018.
Net income for the quarter was $30.1 million, or $1.22 per share, compared to $14.8 million, or 61 cents, for the same period last year.
“Strong year-over-year organic sales results in the Aerospace and Industrial markets, combined with solid margin expansion and expense management, led to improved profitability in the quarter. The strong operating performance and healthy backlog have us well-positioned for the remainder of fiscal 2019,” said Dr. Michael J. Hartnett, chairman and chief executive officer.
