Airgas named a Military Friendly Employer
Airgas has received the Silver Recognition and been named by VIQTORY to the 2023 Military Friendly Employers list.
Military Friendly identifies the organizations whose commitment to serving the military and veteran community is comprehensive in scope and meaningful in actual outcomes and impact. This recognition marks the fourth consecutive year that Airgas has received this award.
Airgas will be showcased in the 2023 Military Friendly Employers, in the December issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com. To earn the Military Friendly Employer designation, Airgas was evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Final ratings were determined by combining Airgas’ survey score with an assessment of the company’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion and Advancement of veterans and military employees.
Throughout its 40 years as a company, Airgas continually supports veterans and military families, including its 1,000+ veteran employees. The company actively recruits associates with a military background, and works to incorporate policies and provide tools that support employees that currently serve.
Since 2008, Airgas has partnered with Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization that supports military service members and their families. Airgas has donated nearly $1.5 million to Operation Homefront, and the company’s associates are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities and fundraisers to support the organization.
“It is a prestigious honor for Airgas to be recognized as one of the nation’s top Military Friendly Employers for the fourth year in a row," said Stamy Paul, Senior Vice President – Airgas Human Resources. "Our 1,000+ associates with military backgrounds have a commitment to service and a mission-driven approach that enhances our company every day and helps each of us to fill our potential. Airgas will continue to support our veterans and military families, our associates currently in the service, and will provide resources for those transitioning from the military into civilian roles.”
