If you’re guessing ARG’s customers are in the oil business, you’re right. Natural resources – oil and gas – are what made the state of Alaska prosper, said Mike Mortenson. They serve major oil companies and oilfield contractors, as well as engineering firms, construction companies and other firms supporting the Trans Alaska Pipeline and its infrastructure. “I like to say we're the we're the secret to their success,” Mortenson added.

But there’s much more to ARG’s customer base. They also serve the marine industry that supports delivery of fuel to Alaska’s heavily diesel-powered villages. Mining is a major segment as well, as they support Alaska's largest gold mines, both open pit and below ground. On the “lower 48,” ARG covers the gamut, from government and construction, to food processing, semiconductor, and agriculture, as well as timber in Eastern Washington. They also sell to OEMs that support naval shipyards on the West Coast.

Diversification is the name of ARG’s game, and the company excels in retail industrial distribution with well-equipped showrooms at all its locations where product is front and center.
