Fairlane round guard bumpers
A complete line of inch and metric rubber and polyurethane bumpers is available from Fairlane Products, a manufacturer of a wide range of workholding and positioning components. The bumpers are designed to guard, stop, align, and protect a machine or work piece during the manufacturing process.
The bumpers, commonly identified as RB-516, come in a variety of mounting options such as tapped hex shoulder and threaded, stud mount, and steel plate mounted. They come in black neoprene, white nitrile, or colored urethane. Diameters sizes run from ¾- to 2 ¼-inch with metric sizes available from 19-57 mm.
Also available are steel plate mounted round bumpers that come in diameters and lengths from 2- to 4-inch with the plate sizes ranging from 2 ½- to 5-inch. These round bumpers are available in black neoprene, white nitrile, or colored urethane, in 40, 60 or 80 durometers.
Bumpers are most often used in material handling, assembly and manufacturing operations to guide, stop and support parts as they are moved and transferred. Fairlane Products maintains a large inventory of “off the shelf” product and are an economical alternative in many applications to eliminate the need for custom engineered molded components.
