Timken announces price increases
The Timken Company announced price increases to certain tubing products and special bar quality products.
Effective immediately, a base-price increase of up to 15 percent was issued on hot-rolled carbon and alloy seamless mechanical tubing, depending on the size and product specifications.The increase applies only to non contract pricing. Raw material surcharges remain in effect.
Non-contract base prices for all special bar quality (SBQ) products range from $40 to $60 a ton for 12-inch size bars and smaller. Increases for bars greater than 12 inches range from $60 to $80 per ton.
The price increases on bar products will take effect beginning March 1, and apply only to non-contract pricing. Raw material surcharges remain in effect.
