WESCO International revenues up 17.6 percent

WESCO International said its fourth quarter sales increased 17.6% to $1.3 billion, compared to $1.1 billion in the same period last year.


Net income was $34.8 million compared to $21.8 million for the prior year quarter, an increase of 59.6%.

For all of 2010, sales increased 9.5% to $5.0 billion compared to $4.6 billion in 2009. Net income for the full year was $115.5 million compared to $105.1 million for the prior year.

"We expect the market will remain highly competitive as a gradual global economic recovery continues in 2011. We are focused on building on our 2010 successes as we continue to execute our strategy, accelerate our growth initiatives, and expand our geographic footprint and customer base," said CEO John J. Engel.
