Blue joins AD
Affiliated Distributors announced that Tom Blue has accepted the newly created position of vice president of Marketing and Affiliate Relations for the Industrial Supply Division.
“We are excited to have a person of Tom’s caliber joining the ISD team. His industry experience and passion for the independent will be an excellent addition to ISD team," said Jack Templin, president of AD’s Industrial Supply Division. "While Tom’s position is new to AD’s Industrial Division, a similar role has existed in our Electrical Division for some time and has proven to be invaluable to both Affiliates and Suppliers. Tom’s addition represents our continued investment in our growth and would not be possible without the outstanding performance of our members and supplier partners.”
Blue was employed at Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. for more than 25 years. He served in a number of roles including sales representative, district sales manager, regional sales manager, national sales manager, vice president of sales and most recently vice president sales – National Accounts.
"I have always held the AD organization and in particular the Affiliate members in high regard," said Blue. "Their perseverance and innovative spirit have driven the success of their businesses and the AD organization. I truly look forward to being a member of their team and contributing to their winning efforts."
In this new role, Blue will be responsible for driving growth of Affiliates and Suppliers, recruiting new Affiliates, serving as an Affiliate advocate and developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective Affiliates in the U.S. and Canada. He will report to Templin.
Blue will continue to live and work from Muskego, Wis.
