Mechlin joins Machinery Tool advisory board
Machinery Systems and its subsidiary, Machinery Tooling & Supply, announced that Stu Mechlin has joined the company's board of advisors.
Mechlin most recently served as senior vice president of the Affiliated Distributors Industrial Supply Division. During his 12-year tenure with AD, he directed the organization of 132 distributors and 150 manufacturers to consistently produce above market sales and earnings growth, helping independent distributors effectively compete with large, national competitors.
“MT&S has quickly grown to a $40 million subsidiary of Machinery Systems and we have a very aggressive five-year growth plan," said Bob Cuthbertson, MT&S president. "Stu will be an invaluable asset in helping us achieve our goals. He not only brings a wealth of industrial distribution experience to the board, but incredible passion, enthusiasm and leadership skills.”
Cuthbertson added that he approached Mechlin about joining the board soon after his retirement from AD. “When Stu announced his retirement from Affiliated Distributors we jumped at the opportunity. He is a rock star in our industry and we feel fortunate to have him as part of the team.”
