SCS Supply assumes Applied name
The SCS Supply Group Inc. business has changed its operating name to Applied Industrial Technologies, effective April 1.
The companies, including Toronto Bearing & Belting, CBS Equipment, and Jake's Bearings, were acquired by the Canadian arm of Applied Industrial Technologies in August 2010.
The name change will serve to effectively leverage the resources and benefits of being part of the Applied Industrial Technologies organization.
"The time is right for these businesses to be officially recognized as Applied Industrial Technologies," said Ron A. Sowinski, president and chief operating officer - Applied Industrial Technologies LP. "These businesses have become an integrated part of Applied with more product lines and world class service to meet the needs of our growing customer base in Central Canada."
SCS Supply Group operates eight locations throughout southern Ontario and services a broad base of industrial customers with bearings, couplings, speed reducers, belting, seals, lubricants, safety supplies and more.
