New drone plant opens in Georgia
Flock Safety, a public safety technology company, has officially opened its new 100,000-square-foot facility for U.S.-based drone manufacturing.
The ribbon cutting was attended by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and highlighted the hundreds of new jobs Flock Safety will create for this advanced manufacturing facility that will serve as the production hub for Flock’s Drone as First Responder technology.
Last year, Flock Safety acquired Aerodome, a leading Drone First Responder provider. The Flock Aerodome DFR system positions drones at automated, battery-swapping docks so they can reach anywhere within a 3.5-mile radius in an average response time of 86 seconds.
In addition to drones, Flock Safety’s License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras, video cameras, gunshot detection sensors, and software are helping 5,000+ communities across the country. Flock recently reported its technology played a key role in helping the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identify and arrest the suspect accused of setting fires at a Tesla collision center.
