COO departs Lawson Products
Former Lawson Products chief operating officer Harry Dochelli has been hired by United Stationers as its vice president of sales of its independent dealer channel.
He will lead the Independent Dealer Channel Sales and Customer Care organizations, with responsibility for developing current and future growth initiatives, customer interaction, and its sales alignment process, the company said.
Prior to joining United Stationers, he was chief operating officer of Lawson Products Inc., following two years as the company’s executive vice president, sales and marketing.
“We are very pleased to acquire the high-caliber talents of Harry Dochelli,” said Todd Shelton, president, United Stationers Supply. “His diverse range of professional experience is well-aligned with United’s long-term strategic cross-selling goals across all industries we serve. His experience collaborating with manufacturers and resellers to grow sales and profitability will be a great asset to our business.”
Lawson Products said that, Thomas Neri, president and CEO, will assume the COO responsibilities while the company conducts a search for a replacement.
“Harry has been instrumental in helping us develop our strategy for transforming the business. We are well on our way today – with the recent implementation of a new ERP system, the construction of our leased state-of-the-art distribution center in McCook, Ill., and our sales and channel transformation initiatives led by the upcoming launch of our new web site. We thank Harry for his significant contributions to the company and wish him well in his new position,” said Neri.
