June wholesale inventories up 4.4% year over year
The U.S. Census Bureaure reported advance wholesale inventories for June were estimated at an end-of-month level of $945.9 billion, up 0.3% from May and up 4.4% from June 2025.
The April 2026 to May 2026 percentage change was revised from the preliminary estimate of up 0.1% to up 0.3%.
The international trade deficit was $101.5 billion in June, down $4.4 billion from $105.9 billion in May. Exports of goods for June were $204.7 billion, $3.8 billion less than May exports. Imports of goods for June were $306.2 billion, $8.2 billion less than May imports.
Advance Retail Inventories
Retail inventories for June were estimated at an end-of-month level of $831.3 billion, virtually unchanged from May 2026, and were up 3.0% from June 2025. The April 2026 to May 2026 percentage change was revised from the preliminary estimate of up 0.6% to up 0.5%
