“Our customers are under constant pressure to improve performance, increase efficiency, and stay ahead of change,” said President and CEO Megan O’Meara. “This Technology Center allows us to work more closely with them, apply our expertise to their unique challenges, and help them develop solutions that drive results. Ultimately, our goal is simple: to help our customers win.”

The Americas Technology Center is engineered to accelerate lubricant formulation, validation, and performance testing for demanding applications in automotive, industrial manufacturing, metalworking, medical, and other critical sectors that depend on high-performance lubricants. By integrating tribology labs, application development teams, and technical service specialists under one roof, FUCHS can replicate real world operating conditions, optimize lubricant and surface interactions, and co-develop solutions that enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency while reducing total cost of ownership.

As part of the company’s global innovation network, the Taunton facility will connect local expertise with a worldwide community of scientists, engineers, and customer-facing teams to address higher power densities, new materials, evolving regulatory requirements, and the shift to more sustainable lubrication technologies.

The facility will also strengthen FUCHS’ ability to scale promising innovations from development to commercial production, delivering application-specific solutions at commercial quantities with the performance characteristics customers require.

“More than a facility, this Technology Center is a strategic extension of our global R&D network and an integral part of our FUCHS100 strategy. It enables us to combine knowledge from across the world to accelerate innovation, and deliver meaningful value for our customers,” remarked Dr. Timo Reister, deputy chairman of the executive board at FUCHS SE.

The FUCHS Americas Technology Center will highlight the role of lubrication technology in demanding environments, from high load industrial gearboxes and metalworking operations to mission critical systems in extreme conditions, including space exploration programs and semiconductor chip manufacturing.

“Innovation is built on the ability to understand complex challenges, generate new knowledge, and validate solutions with scientific precision,” said Mathieu Boulandet, member of the executive board and chief technology officer of FUCHS SE. “This Technology Center brings together world-class laboratories, advanced testing capabilities, and multidisciplinary expertise under one roof. It allows us to accelerate development, deepen our core chemicals insights, refine our technical understanding, and engineer the next generation of high-performance lubricants and specialty solutions.”

Customers, OEMs, and research partners will be able to visit the new facility for technical demonstrations, root cause analysis support, and joint development projects that align lubrication strategies with uptime, safety, and sustainability targets. Coinciding with the Grand Opening, FUCHS will also host its inaugural Lubrication Technology Conference, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and technology innovators to explore the trends and advancements shaping the future of lubrication and industrial performance. The conference will feature presentations from distinguished organizations including KCF Technologies, NSF, Next Generation Services, and perma, among others.

By convening experts from across industry, academia, and technology, the event underscored FUCHS’ commitment to fostering collaboration, accelerating innovation, and helping customers navigate the evolving challenges and opportunities of modern manufacturing and maintenance.
