Mallory Safety acquires Industrial Safety

Mallory Safety and Supply announced that it has acquired Industrial Safety Supply Corporation and its three California locations in Emeryville, Stockton and Ontario.

Industrial Safety Supply has been in business since 1968, providing technical safety products and services, with an emphasis on fall protection, respiratory protection, and gas monitoring sales and service.

“We’ve been friendly competitors with Mallory for many years, and I just think we will be so much stronger in this market on the same team," said Barry Woods, president and owner of Industrial Safety. "We’ve got wonderful customers, and I can’t wait to talk with them about the new capabilities we’ve picked up. A world class vending solution, training, safety staffing, industrial products, and an internal brand give us additional tools to compete and win.”

Tim Loy, president of Mallory, added, "I’ve long admired Barry and his well-run business, and this is mostly about adding some great people to our team. The geography, the safety expertise, the service and repair capabilities, and the motivated team makes this an ideal fit for our continued quest to be the best safety and industrial distributor in the Western U.S."

Based in Portland, Oregon, Mallory is the largest independent safety distributor in the Western U.S., with approximately 330 employees, and 22 locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Wisconsin. This is Mallory's 20th acquisition in the industrial and safety space and fourth in the last 12 months. While Mallory focuses on safety products and services, it has also acquired several industrial and MRO supply distributors, and carries a broad array of abrasives, cutting tools and construction supplies to meet the twin objectives of its customers— safety expertise for the safety department, and vendor consolidation and supply chain efficiency for the procurement side of their businesses.

Mallory provides on-site services through its vending solution, Snapvend, which is a cloud-based solution, plus on-site stores, vendor managed inventory, or turnarounds and training and safety management support.
