Wright promotes Gregg Futey to vice president, business development
Wright has promoted Gregg Futey to vice president of business development, effective June 22.
Since joining Wright in December 2023 as assistant vice president, Futey has played an integral role in Wright’s leadership team, contributing to business development, financial administration, marketing initiatives, and strategic planning.
Futey brings more than 14 years of manufacturing and business leadership experience to his role. Prior to joining Wright, he held positions of increasing responsibility with Howmet Aerospace, a global leader in engineered metal products serving the aerospace, defense and commercial transportation industries. His career included progressive growth within the human resources space, where he developed expertise in leadership development, talent management, and organizational strategy.
“Gregg has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to our employees, customers and company values,” said Tom Futey, president and co-owner of Wright. “Over the past two and a half years, he has helped strengthen our organization and position us for future growth. I am proud to recognize his accomplishments with this well-deserved promotion and look forward to continuing to work alongside him as we guide the future of Wright.”
As vice president of business development, Futey will lead the development and execution of Wright's long-term business growth strategy, identifying new market opportunities while driving initiatives that support the company's continued expansion. He will be responsible for strengthening relationships with distributors, wholesalers, dealers and strategic national accounts, while expanding Wright's distribution network and partnerships with large buying groups.
Futey will also oversee the management of key customer relationships, collaborate with engineering and product management to identify new product opportunities, and work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts through trade show strategy, lead generation programs and promotional campaigns. As a member of Wright's executive leadership team, he will help shape the company's strategic direction while advancing its commitment to manufacturing excellence, customer service and innovation.
