McDonough Winair opens in Georgia market
The Winsupply Family of Companies has welcomed its latest addition of a new Local Company with the opening of McDonough Winair.
Led by President Chad Hunter, McDonough Winair is a full-service wholesaler specializing in HVAC and plumbing.
McDonough Winair opened this summer with four employees. McDonough Winair encompasses 10,000 square feet at 104 Park 42 Drive in Locust Grove, Georgia, just south of McDonough. They offer three full lines of HVAC equipment, including Bosch, Tempstar, and Oxbox, along with parts and accessories for service technicians.
Hunter has worked in the HVAC industry for nearly 25 years. He started as a driver and worked his way into a branch manager role at a large HVAC distributor.
Hunter joined the Winsupply Family of Companies – along with an outside sales rep from his previous employer – in February of this year. After just a couple of months of training at Conyers Winair (Georgia), he was ready to launch McDonough Winair with his vast industry knowledge.
“The local ownership and decision-making model greatly appealed to me, along with the reassurance that Winsupply always supports us,” Hunter said. “This is a significant change from my previous company, where we often felt constrained. With Winsupply, we have the freedom to build stronger relationships with our customers and vendors, and we are truly in control of our future.”
David Benton, Area Leader for Winsupply, said the Atlanta HVAC market remains his largest target for growth markets in the Southeast.
“We have tremendous opportunities in the Atlanta area to gain not only in HVAC, but also in Plumbing, Electrical, Industrial, and Waterworks market share,” Benton said. “This location is just one of numerous locations Winsupply will be opening across the Southeast.”
Winsupply during calendar year 2025 (FY2026) has the goal to open 20 new Local Companies across its U.S. footprint. Winsupply Local Companies are expected to achieve nearly $8.3 billion in annual sales for 2025.
