Triad Technologies acquires Filtration Corporation of America
Triad Technologies, an Ohio-based distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, filtration, sealing, and lubrication technologies, acquired Filtration Corporation of America (FCA) on Oct. 1.
Headquartered in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, FCA is a value-added distributor of filtration and fueling systems components serving the aviation industry: fixed-base operators, storage terminals, and OEMs in the market. Since its founding in 1976, FCA has supplied aviation filtration systems, filter vessels, quality control testing equipment, petroleum handling equipment, pipeline supplies, loading arms, pressure control valves, and refueling nozzles to operations ranging from county airports to major international airports.
Triad said the combination of the two companies creates a deeper filtration and fluid handling offering for the aviation and fuel markets, and FCA’s existing team will continue to provide best-in-class service to its customers.
“We are pleased to welcome the FCA team to the Triad family,” said President and CEO Greg Wissman. “Filtration is an area we have been deliberate about expanding, and FCA gives us both the product breadth and the technical depth to do it well. FCA has spent nearly five decades earning the trust of the aviation fueling community, and pairing that reputation with Triad’s distribution platform allows us to deliver a wider range of filtration and fluid handling solutions than either company could provide on its own. We are incredibly excited to add multiple Parker Hannifin-owned brands to our existing portfolio of products, most notably Velcon and Meggitt. Further, I expect Triad to continue to expand its filtration business in the coming years through additional investments and acquisitions.”
Gordon Tompkinson and Brian Tompkinson, co-owners of FCA, added, “Our father founded this business in 1976, and since then our customers have counted on us to know their operations, keep the right parts on the shelf, and get them what they need when they need it. Joining Triad gives those customers access to a significantly broader set of products and technical resources while keeping the same level of service they have relied on for many years.”
