Dematic unveils Lifecycle Services to support peak season readiness
Dematic, a global provider of supply chain automation, announced the expansion of four targeted Lifecycle Solutions and Services offerings across the Americas.
As warehouse and distribution operations face growing pressure to increase throughput and maintain uptime during peak demand, these offerings help customers get more from their existing systems.
Common operational challenges such as unplanned downtime, parts inventory errors and employee onboarding can create extra hassle, especially during peak demand. Created by experienced Dematic engineers and technicians, the expanded service offerings address a variety of concerns from system bottlenecks and parts management to workforce readiness and long-term maintenance planning.
The four service offerings include:
Critical Path Optimization: Dematic's Critical Path Optimization (CPO) service helps customers increase efficiency without adding new equipment. Customers identify specific systems or processes for evaluation, then Dematic engineers work on-site to assess the area and make fixes or adjustments in real time. In one customer engagement, CPO helped reduce sorter jams by 50% and increase inbound units by 50%.
Parts Check-In: With 30% to 40% of unplanned downtime caused by parts inventory errors, the Dematic Parts Check-In Service helps customers strengthen operational readiness before peak demand begins. On-site service verifies incoming parts, improves inventory organization and provides detailed documentation to help operations stay prepared.
Site Assessment: Dematic's Site Assessment Program evaluates system performance, operator interaction and subsystem functionality across automation systems, controls, software and safety components. Dematic customers receive a comprehensive evaluation along with actionable recommendations, including a three- to five-year operational roadmap.
Single Seat Training: Dematic's Single Seat Training provides flexible, affordable, hands-on education to help operations train employees without disrupting their operations. Available for an individual employee or an entire team, the training takes place at Dematic's Learning Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and strengthens technical skills, improves troubleshooting and accelerates onboarding.
"Customers are looking for ways to improve performance without taking on the cost or disruption of a major system change," said Michele Longo, senior vice president of lifecycle solutions & services at Dematic. "By combining the expertise of our teams who support these operations every day with our targeted service offerings, we're helping customers unlock additional performance from their systems and prepare for growth with confidence."
