Sonepar’s QED opens Denver-area central distribution center
QED, a Sonepar company, has opened its largest-ever central distribution center (CDC) in Aurora, Colorada, just outside Denver.
The 250,000-square-foot facility marks a major investment in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence to QED’s residential and commercial contractor customers, industrial facilities, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) businesses.
This CDC and another set to open in Mesa, Arizona, in Q1–2026 support QED’s transition to a centralized logistics model. With smoother operations and consolidated inventory, customers can expect faster, more accurate order fulfillment. Automated picking with robots from Locus Robotics also enables greater efficiency and scalability, particularly during periods of high demand. This light automation makes warehouse roles less physically demanding while improving accuracy and safety.

QED says its transition to a CDC model will increase order accuracy and double the amount of product SKUs available to customers. Automated processes reduce delays and improve efficiency in warehousing and transportation, allowing resources to be reinvested into best-in-class service and support.
The Aurora CDC employs 110 associates and has brought more than 60 new jobs to the area. Located at 21001 E 13th Ave, Suite 200, Aurora, Colorada, 80018, the facility is managed by Joshua Jordan, who brings extensive experience in distribution operations and customer service excellence.
