Fixtureworks bolsters bearing covered guides for rollers/wheels lineup
Fixtureworks, a supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool and material handling products, has bolstered its offering of bearing covered guide rollers/wheels. Bearing wheel assemblies help reduce potential lead times and eliminate sourcing problems and tooling costs.
The GRL Series of industrial bearing wheel covers are ideal for a wide range of ap-plications. Typical applications include track wheels and guide rollers, components of con-veyors and automation systems, and for use in general industry. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials in surfaces that are flat, crowned, flanged (single and double) and grooved (both U-shaped and V-shaped).
The flat variety bearing cover guide rollers feature a flat surface and are optimal for medium duty applications such as sliding doors and conveyor transportation. The covered surface features a crown surface that is optimal for medium duty applications.
The flange style features a two-flange design and are optimal for medium duty applications. They are available in steel, hardened steel, plastic and stainless steel. They can be used with polished square steel bar for rails. Hardened steel rollers are wear-resistant and prevent damage from intrusion of chips and other debris. The U- and V-grooved style are optimal for medium load applications such as sliding doors or carrier transport. They are available in steel, hard-ened steel, plastic and stainless steel.
Most bearing wheel cover assemblies includes a cover, snap ring, radial ball bearing, and when specified, a stud for mounting. Standard OD sizes range from 22 to 70 mm. The covers are made from nylon, urethane, steel, or stainless steel. Cover material is selected based on the application such as for general use, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance or corrosion resistance.
