Brass pie jaws grip delicate workpieces securely
Brass full grip pie jaws from Dillon Manufacturing firmly hold delicate workpieces without marring or distortion, making them ideal for thin-walled cylinders, pre-finished or highly polished components, fragile threaded products, and workpieces made of softer, malleable alloys.
Maximum contact area provides a solid gripping surface creating more friction with reduced part distortion, while the brass provides a softer surface without marring or marking of the workpiece surface. Standard parts available to 32 inches in diameter; custom designs available with special heights, diameters, and configurations, including a matching serration location which is exactly perpendicular to the slots. Ideal for components fabricated from brass, aluminum, bronze, and other softer, malleable alloys.
Dillon full-grip chuck jaws are made in the USA with industry-leading lead-times. They are ideal for high-speed machining, as well as precision boring, tapping, drilling, and finishing across virtually all industrial markets. In addition to brass, Dillon Full Grip Pie Jaws are available in 6061 aluminum, 1018 steel and cast iron.
These wrap-around type top jaws distribute more of the gripping pressure across the workpiece, reducing part distortion. Dillon standard and custom full-grip jaws are available in serrated, tongue & groove serrated, Acme serrated, and square serrated designs. Additional information on standard or special full-grip jaws is available on their video here.
