Goodyear Rubber Products celebrates 75th year, announces new headquarters

Goodyear Rubber Products, Inc., an industrial rubber products distributor headquartered in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida for 75 years, announced it will open its new corporate headquarters on February 13 in Clearwater, Florida, approximately 10 miles north of their existing facilities. The new address is 11301 47th Street North, Clearwater Florida 33762.


As the new Clearwater headquarters and showroom open, the company's current Clearwater Goodyear ParkerStore located blocks away on 49th Street, will close permanently. All the current Goodyear ParkerStore information (phone numbers, emails, fax, etc.) will be active at the new Goodyear showroom in Clearwater, and the existing St. Pete phone numbers and emails will all be active at the new corporate location.

Within weeks, a new St. Petersburg Goodyear ParkerStore will be opened (scheduled for March 1) within a block of the former headquarters on Central Avenue. Current headquarters at 1912 Central Avenue St. Petersburg, home to Goodyear Rubber Products, Inc. over many decades, will close permanently on February 28. The new St. Petersburg Goodyear ParkerStore will be located at 1901 1st Avenue South, directly across the alley from its existing corporate headquarters, and will have a new phone number: 727-456-6380, as well as a new fax number: 727-456-6381, and email address: stpete@goodyearrubberproducts.com.

Goodyear Rubber Products opened for business on February 10, 1948, on Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg near the current headquarters. Founded by Brooklyn, New York transplants Murray and Jackie Jacobs, the company is owned and operated by their son, Robert "Bob" Jacobs, who has a strong commitment to maintaining the founders' high standards of integrity and loyalty to customers, vendors, and employees alike.

Goodyear Rubber Products, Inc. will continue to have six locations on the west coast of Florida including the new primary Clearwater location and five ParkerStores: Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Ft. Myers, and Naples.

According to company Vice President Eric Von Kaenel, the company will continue growing in the future with new product lines and capabilities that their new corporate headquarters will make possible. Currently, the company offers Industrial and hydraulic hose and couplings, conveyor and power transmission belts, sheet rubber and fluid sealing products including expansion joints along with rubber dock fenders, floor matting and protective clothing.
