Kimball Midwest was among 30 companies that received the inaugural Distributors Deliver Award, which recognizes the philanthropic efforts of wholesaler-distributors and their commitment to charity, community and improving lives. Kimball Midwest chief executive officer Pat McCurdy Jr. accepted the award during the NAW 2022 Executive Summit in Washington, D.C.

“The entire Kimball Midwest team was honored to have the opportunity to participate in the NAW’s COVID-related efforts along with our other charitable work in 2021,” McCurdy said. “One of our core values is being a people business, and helping our communities thrive is an important part of that.”

Last year, NAW partnered with NFL stadium vaccination sites to provide more than $500,000 worth of personal protective equipment in their efforts to vaccinate more than two million people. NAW and the National League of Cities partnered to reopen communities and surpassed $1 million in donations of critical PPE and other supplies.

“The wholesale distribution industry’s hundreds of thousands of companies and millions of employees are well-known for their commitment to philanthropy and community, and we look forward to continuing to recognize them each year,” said Eric Hoplin, NAW CEO.
