Kennametal honors '2025 Women MAKE' award winner

Kennametal Inc. announced Mandy Lv, senior analyst logistics, has been recognized as a 2025 Women MAKE Award honoree by The Manufacturing Institute.

The Women Make Awards recognize women in science, technology, engineering and production careers who exemplify leadership within their companies. Lv's contributions are celebrated with 130 women honorees from companies of all sizes and sectors in receiving this award and she joins a group of 17 other Kennametal women who have received Women MAKE Awards in prior years.

"We congratulate Mandy on this great honor and applaud her continuous improvement efforts within our operations aimed at better serving our customers and advancing our strategy," said Kennametal President and CEO Sanjay Chowbey. "We are thankful for her leadership, ambition and impact on the experience we deliver to the manufacturing industry and the communities we call home."

Lv's expertise in customs compliance and international logistics, as well as her leadership in Lean initiatives have contributed to various productivity improvements. In particular, her leadership in Lean and continuous improvement enabled her to establish a Six Sigma Green Belt program at her local facility, which has now certified several employees for value stream mapping, setup reduction and total productive maintenance.

She is an advocate for the community, leveraging her psychological consultant certification to both inspire and support her coworkers and community through mental health awareness outreach. Since 2020, she has volunteered her counseling services with varying organizations that respond to health, environmental and other disaster situations. She also leads her site's employee club, a group responsible for developing events to drive employee engagement.
