Alro Steel celebrates 75 years
Alro, which includes Alro Industrial Supply, is celebrating 75 years in business. The company is headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, and serves 15 states with over 75 locations and more than 3,000 employees.

Al Glick began Alro Steel with his older brother Robert, the “ro” in Alro, with one location in Jackson in 1948.
In a press statement, Alro expressed thanks to its customers, suppliers, and teammates for their support to reach the milestone.
In January this year, Alro Steel opened a new, custom-built ocation in Philadelphia. In 2022, the company made two acqusitions: On April 29, 2022, Alro acquired Klein Steel, a metals service center operating locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, New York. Later that year, on September 30, Alro acquired Access Metals in Baltimore, Maryland.
A distributor of metals, industrial supplies, and engineering plastics, Alro offers cut-to-size metals and plastics with next day delivery to over 50,000 customers in North America. The company provides a broad inventory of products and services under the following companies: Alro Steel, Alro Metals, Alro Metals Outlet, Alro Industrial Supply, and Alro Plastics.
