JIS acquires B&G Supply
JIS, Division of Jergens Inc., has acquired certain assets of B&G Supply of Akron, Ohio.
Together, B&G Supply and JIS have over 100 years of distribution experience.
With this acquisition, JIS continues to build its business as the largest and most technically advanced distributor in Ohio, the company said in a statement announcing the acquisition.
B&G Supply has served Northeast Ohio industrial customers for over 40 years, focused on cutting tools, precision tools, abrasives and fasteners.
“By integrating my business into the JIS family, I will be able to give our customers many new opportunities, as well as giving our employees the opportunity to grow,” said Cindy Lukovski, president of B&G Supply.
“This acquisition allows us to expand geographically and get closer to our customers in the Akron/Canton area,” said JIS general manager, Matt Schron.
JIS plans to open a new branch in the Akron/Canton area that will house employees and inventory to better support consignment customers in that area.
