Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index continues to show decline

The weekly Pandemic Revenue Index shows that distributors are still seeing double-digit sales declines.

Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index for week of April 27-May 1Indian River Consulting Group’s (IRCG) weekly Pandemic Revenue Index for the work week of April 27-May 1, 2020, indicated an 18.9 percent decline compared with the same week a year ago.

IRCG’s distributor Pandemic Revenue Index gives distributors a weekly quantified view into how other distributors in the industry are faring with respect to revenue declines as the global COVID-19 pandemic progresses.

All but one participant in the Pandemic Revenue Index realized a sales decline year over year, with a maximum decline of 43 percent. We now have six weeks of double-digit average declines.

“The next few weeks will be very telling as the stay-at-home orders are lifted and human interactions increase. Let’s hope everyone remains judicious and commerce can ramp up without everything getting shut down again,” said Mike Emerson, IRCG Partner. “If there’s any good news, it’s that half the participants saw declines less than what they were a week ago.”
