S & S Hinge sold to Quality Hinges
S & S Hinge Co., Bloomingdale, Illinois, announced new ownership effective since May 1 – third-generation President and CEO Chris Stevenson has sold the 91-year-old manufacturing business to Greg and Mary Grimler, owners of Quality Hinges located in University Park, Illinois.
The two companies had been partnering already and enjoyed a synergy in meeting all their customers' hinge requirements, a press release stated.
"Greg and Mary are committed to the principles of Lean manufacturing, continuous process improvement, and to providing quality products to our valued customers," the company said. "They believe that our ISO 9001: 2015 certification will effectively maintain and improve our Total Quality Management system and will continue to strengthen our commitment to our valued customers.
"They bring years of experience, and manufacturing expertise," the statement continued.
