Alaska Rubber Group acquires Industrial Supply Inc.

Alaska Rubber Group has acquired Industrial Supply Inc. in Bellingham, Washington.

Alaska Rubber GroupThe addition expands ARG’s branches to 12 in Alaska, Washington and Oregon.

“Industrial Supply Inc. is an excellent fit for ARG,” said Mike Mortensen, ARG president and CEO. “The location is perfect and will allow us to better serve the rapidly expanding industrial market between our Everett, Washington location and the Canadian border. “With this acquisition, we are picking up several new product lines, and we are also gaining another location with manufacturing capabilities for lifting and rigging products. This allows us to grow that part of our business outside of Alaska and into the Pacific Northwest. More importantly, the ISI team and the culture that Rod and Dave have fostered are a great addition to our employee ownership model.”

Industrial Supply Inc. has been serving Bellingham and surrounding areas since 1954. Rod Jackson and Dave Clark have owned and operated ISI since 2007. ISI is known as the one stop shop, manufacturing and distributing a complete portfolio of industrial and hydraulic hoses and fittings, as well as lifting and rigging products, chemicals, abrasives, grounding products and more.

Jackson and Clark will remain committed to the success of the location as they lead their team toward further growth and participation in employee ownership as part of the Alaska Rubber Group, according to a statement announcing the acquisition.
