Winsupply adds 20th local company since start of 2024
The Winsupply family of companies has added a new local company with the opening of Winsupply of Jacksonville Beach.
Master plumber Thomas Blackburn, president, Winsupply of Jacksonville Beach, opened his local company this spring at 1160 Shetter Avenue, Building 100 & 200, Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The company serves the Plumbing, Electric, and HVAC/Hydronics industries.
“I have been a master plumber for 28 years and the owner of my own plumbing company for 18 years. Over those 18 years, I built a huge clientele in the Jacksonville Beach and surrounding area,” Blackburn said.
He sold his business in 2022 and joined the Winsupply Family of Companies in a sales role at Winsupply of Jacksonville.
“I immediately invested and enrolled in the Winsupply Presidents Scholarship Program. I enjoy using my years of plumbing knowledge to serve our contractors and customers,” Blackburn said.
Winsupply of Jacksonville Beach has opened with three employees, including Blackburn. The 10,500-square-foot facility will later welcome a 1,500-square-foot showroom.
Blackburn joins 19 other Winsupply local companies to open since the beginning of 2024.
“This new start is another strategic fit for Winsupply to grow its Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC presence on the booming East Coast of Florida,” said Steven Lyon, Area Leader for Winsupply Inc. “This multi-offering location will be a great business to build on in many coastal locations.”
Also, since the start of 2024, the Winsupply Family of Companies closed on six acquisitions in Tennessee, Arizona, two in Texas, Florida, and Kansas and Nebraska. This follows a strong 2023 with seven new local companies and three acquisitions.
Winsupply Local Companies are expected to achieve nearly $8.3 billion in annual sales for 2025.
Winsupply attributes its continued success to various factors, including strategic expansions, a strong focus on building a bench, and the adaptability of Winsupply's unique business model. As Winsupply moves forward, it remains committed to supporting local companies and driving further growth in the years ahead.
"The growth potential for new Winsupply Local Companies, organically started, is massive," said Rob Ferguson, president of Winsupply's Local Company Group. "Winsupply's purpose is to build entrepreneurs. We just happen to be doing it in wholesale distribution."
Winsupply says its goal is to open another 20 new local companies across its U.S. footprint during 2025.
