Hampton Rubber Company celebrates 70 years of service
Hampton Rubber Company announced the celebration of its 70th anniversary.
Established in 1955 by Joseph Tannen, the company has been a longstanding provider of hose, gasket, and fluid handling solutions to customers across the U.S. The company was purchased in 1979 by Rolf Czerlinsky and Norm Schnell – under their leadership, the company realized significant growth and success over the last four decades.
On January 2, 1999, Hampton Rubber became the first company to be acquired by what is now Singer Industrial. This milestone marked the beginning of a strategic relationship that has supported the company’s continued growth while maintaining its commitment to quality service and regional industry support.
Hampton Rubber serves both commercial and military markets from its state-of-the-art fa-cilities in Hampton and Norfolk, Virginia, specializing in high-quality assemblies and sealing products for critical fluid systems.
"Seventy years is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and adaptability of every person who has been a part of our journey," said Hampton Rubber General Manager David Saunders. "We've weathered challenges and embraced opportunities, always with an eye on serving our industries with integrity.”
"While we honor our past 70 years, we are equally excited about the future,” he continued. “We will continue to evolve, innovate, and adapt to meet the changing needs of our customers, always striving to be the supplier of choice for the next 70 years and beyond."
Singer Industrial President Pete Haberbosch said, “Congratulations to the team at Hampton Rubber Company for 70 incredible years! I’m grateful to have spent a few years at Hampton Rubber and could not think of a better group of people to have been the start of Singer Industrial. Here’s to what you have accomplished and continued success ahead!"
