Sonepar Canada names new president
Serge Leblanc will assume the position of president of Sonepar Canada on a permanent basis, managing from the Sonepar Canada office in Laval. He served as interim president since May.
Leblanc joined Lumen in 1997 and has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. He was appointed president of Lumen in October 2011. Under his leadership, Lumen has consistently remained one of Sonepar’s highest performing companies.
He launched North America’s first automated cable cutting and automated storage and retrieval system – setting a new standard for innovation in operations for Sonepar. Leblanc is also widely recognized for conceiving and leading the bi-annual Salon de Lumen, a premier industry event that features over 100 vendors and attracts thousands of customers.
“We are pleased that Serge will be serving in a permanent capacity and are excited about the future under his continued leadership,” said Rob Taylor, president of Sonepar Americas.
