Infor acquires Groupe Laurier
Infor announced the acquisition of Group Laurier, a reseller of Infor10 Distribution Business (SX.e) to the Distribution market in Canada.
Based in Montreal with additional operations in Toronto, Group Laurier has 70 customers and 30 employees.
The acquisition strengthens Infor's relationship with customers in Canada by creating a 100-percent direct relationship with them, the company said in a press release. Software, support and services are now provided directly by Infor.
Existing Group Laurier customers will experience no disruption in their support, and will be able to take advantage of Infor's award-winning Xtreme Support.
"The acquisition of Group Laurier is a sound, practical business transaction for Infor and creates new opportunity in Canada, adding strong consulting resources in Canada and specific expertise in the French Canadian market. In addition, Group Laurier has completed all French Canadian localizations and translations for Infor10 Distribution (SX.e)," the company said.
In a separate announcement, Infor announced a new strategic partnership with Business & Decision, an international consulting and systems integration company, to benefit the complex manufacturing, distribution and service industries. This new partnership will increase the number of trained consultants available worldwide, enhancing the broad spectrum of consulting and technical services available to all Infor ERP customers.
