Emerson's sales rise by 7 percent
Emerson said sales for its fiscal third quarter were $5.0 billion, up 7 percent from the previous year.
By geography, the Americas were up 14 percent, Europe was flat and Asia, Middle East & Africa was down 1 percent. China was down 6 percent, primarily due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
Net earnings of $921 million, or $1.54 per diluted share, compared to $627 million, or $1.04 in last year's third quarter.
Automation Solutions sales were flat in the quarter, with underlying sales up 4 percent..
Commercial & Residential Solutions sales increased 8 percent in the quarter, with underlying sales up 13 percent.
