Taylor named president of Greenfield
Ty Taylor was named president of Greenfield Industries Inc. (GFII) effective Oct. 1.
He reports directly to Jeff Chee, president and CEO of Top-Eastern Drill Company (TDC), which acquired Greenfield in July. In this new role, Taylor will be responsible for overall management of GFII’s brands, which include Cleveland, Chicago-Latrobe, Cle-Line, Putnam, Bassett, Vermont Tap & Die, Geometric, H & G, Vers-O-Tool, and Acme-Fette.
Taylor has been in the cutting tool business for more than 32 years. His background includes leadership roles in manufacturing, research and development, marketing, and sales management. Most recently, he was Director, Global Distribution, for Kennametal Inc.
"With his demonstrated leadership skills, strong experience, and passion for execution, Ty is particularly well-equipped to lead Greenfield Industries’ growth," the company said in a prepared statement.
