Snap-on's sales rise 6.2 percent
Snap-on reported net sales of $1.1 billion in the third quarter of 2022, a gain of 6.2% from $1.0 billion in 2021.
The increase reflected a 10.4% organic sales gain of $103.9 million, partially offset by $39.1 million of unfavorable foreign currency translation.
Net earnings in the quarter of $223.9 million, or $4.14 per diluted share, compared to net earnings of $196.2 million, or $3.57 per diluted share, a year ago.
Commercial & Industrial Group segment net sales of $356.8 million in the quarter compared to $351.4 million last year.
Snap-on Tools Group segment net sales of $496.6 million in the quarter compared to $471.4 million last year.
