PTDA Warren Pike and Wendy B. McDonald award winners

The Power Transmission Distributors Association announced the winners of its two most prestigious awards during the PTDA Virtual Industry Summit.

Bill Childers, a long-time veteran of the industry who most recently helped AD launch its Power Transmission division, was named winner of the Warren Pike Award.

C.C. Vest, co-founder of Midpoint Bearing, received the Wendy B. McDonald Award.

Childers spent 25 years of his career as VP of sales for Emerson Power Transmission before moving on to other roles within the industry including president of NSK Canada in 2002 and president of North American sales for Rexnord in 2008 before joining Affiliated Distributors in 2015 where he served as vice president and managing director, overseeing the launch of AD’s power transmission division.

Vest began her bearing and power transmission career in 1979 at Bearings & Drives, a southern California distributor that remains operational today. In 1985, she became the co-founder of a new bearing distribution company called Midpoint Bearing. Vest was instrumental in creating a business strategy in which the company focused on supplying bearings to the electric motor repair industry.
